Boonslick Regional Library Closed Until April 5

Boonslick Regional Library Director Linda Allcorn issued the following statement late Wednesday afternoon:

"The unprecedented COVID-19 health crisis is impacting daily life for everyone.

As we have reviewed the information from public health officials including CDC, MLA, and ALA, Boonslick Regional Library has made the difficult decision to close our branches to the public effective March 18 at 5 p.m. through Sunday, April 5.

Boonslick Regional Library, 219 W. 3rd, will not charge any overdue fines during this time. All checkout periods will be extended through April 30. All pending holds will be frozen so you will keep your place in line when we re-open. Please keep all library materials at home. We ask that patrons DO NOT return materials to the library since ALL book drops are locked. You will not be penalized.

As always, our broad collection of digital resources like ebooks, audiobooks, ecomicbooks, magazines, Tumblebooks, and databases are available 24/7 through our virtual branch boonslickregionallibrary.com.

The Library website will be updated regularly to keep you informed. This was not a decision the Library Board made lightly. We appreciate the support of our board, staff, patrons and our community during this challenging time."
