4-H and FFA members showed off their sheep this past weekend at the 2020 Missouri State Fair.

Lots of grooming and prepping was happening behind the scenes at the Sheep Pavilion, and judging of breeding sheep was taking place in the arena, with 4-H on side and FFA on the other on Saturday.

Sunday afternoon saw judging of a Youth Sheep Skillathon, which pretty much wraps up the competition for sheep owners at the Youth Livestock Show. On Monday, goats will take over the Sheep Pavilion, and for all intents and purposes, the building will effectively be known as the “Goat Pavilion” for the next week.

At 10 a.m., Monday, a 4-H and FFA Commercial Meat Goat Breeding Doe Show will take place, followed by Boer Goat Showmanship, followed by a Breeding Boer Goat Show.

The 2020 Youth Livestock Show runs through Aug. 23. For more information, visit mostatefair.com.
