Alison Krauss to Embark on Extensive 2018 Tour, Including Co-Headlining Stops With Willie Nelson & Family
Alison Krauss is set to kick off a marathon, 50-stop 2018 tour on May 16 in Tulsa, Okla. Many of those dates -- including the seven first shows on the tour -- will be co-headlining concerts with Willie Nelson.
One thing that Nelson and the bluegrass-country legend have in common is an extensive working relationship with producer and songwriter Buddy Cannon. Cannon produced Krauss' 2017 album Windy City, which was her first solo release in nearly 18 years; it netted Krauss two Grammy nods, as well as debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums and Top Bluegrass Albums charts.
Over the course of her career, Krauss has released 14 studio albums. Her projects include solo releases as well as albums with her longtime band, Union Station, and Raising Sand, a collaboration with Robert Plant.
Tickets for most dates on the tour will go on sale at April 6, with the exception of Pittsburgh (tickets for that show will go on sale on April 13, at 10AM local time), Selbyville (April 16, at 10 AM local time), South Bend (April 20, at 10 AM local time) and Milwaukee (April 6, at 12 PM local time). Readers can purchase tickets and learn more at Krauss' website.
