Active Military, First Responders, Can Save Cash on Royals Tix

Active Military, Veterans, their families, firefighters, police officers, other first responders, and government employees can save money on Kansas City Royals tickets throughout the 2022 season.

According to the Royals website, "All military personnel/first responders and their families are welcome to take part in the special ticket pricing offered for all non-Opening Day games in the 2022 regular season." To do this fans need to verify their military, first responder, or government employee status through a website called GOVX.

The GOVX website essentially serves those who serve "through the development of exclusive eCommerce channels and the support of nonprofits that provide valuable assistance to this community."

In other words, it's a website designed for those employed in public service through a local, county, state, or federal government agency to shop online and receive some discounts. I'd assume the website goes out and cuts deals with various businesses to offer their products, while also pointing out the website gives back to various causes that mean something to first responders.

Some of the groups they've helped are the USO, the Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, Figherfighter Aid, Homes for Troops, Folds of Honor, and Team Rubicon. Through their website, GOVX says they've given back more than $200,000 to non-profits since 2014.

Through the Royals website, you can access tickets for most series the Royals are playing at Kauffman Stadium. And interestingly enough, through the GOVX website, you can access discounts from many Major League Baseball Clubs including the Chicago Cubs and White Sox, the Colorado Rockies, Milwaukee Brewers, Washington Nationals, New York Mets and Yankees, The Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres, Texas Rangers, and Houston Astros. Unfortunately, the St. Louis Cardinals don't seem to participate in the program.

How much can you save on tickets? Not having the qualifications to be a member, I couldn't see any prices. But when it comes to the price of Major League Baseball tickets, any discount is a good thing.
