A Wreck in Saline County Sent 2 Florida Residents to the Hospital Early Tuesday Morning

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident in Saline County early Tuesday morning.

According to the crash report, the accident occurred around 2:20am, as a 2000 Ford was traveling Westbound on I-70, at the 82.6 mile marker, when the driver fell asleep at the wheel. The Ford traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

The driver, 36-year old Marvin R. Diaz and a passenger, 9-year old Nicholas C. Perez-Chavez, both of Deland Florida, were injured in the wreck.

Marvin Diaz suffered minor injuries, while Nicholas Perez-Chavez suffered moderate injuries. Both were taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment.
