This time of year, a lot of little children's minds are steeped in fantasy.  One way to let the little ones continue their dreaming this holiday season is to get them their tickets to the annual Cupid's Ball. The Women’s Service League of Sedalia is planning its Annual Cupid’s Ball, with the theme Frozen for Saturday, February 28.  That movie has been a huge phenomena for little kids everywhere, and so their choice of theme hits it right on the head!  The ball will take place at The Smith-Cotton High School. Girls 5-12 years are invited to ask their favorite guy; father, stepfather, uncle, or grandfather to the dance. They can bring anybody they want, as long as it is someone important to them! Tickets are $20 per person which includes light refreshments, a professional 5X7 photograph and dancing.

I got to talk with Susan Mergen of the Women's Service League about this year's Ball, what we can expect and where you can get tickets.

Tickets may be purchased on January 10 on the campus of SFCC in the Heckart Science and Health Center/Thompson Conference Center.  The doors open at 8:00 a.m.  There's a long hallway, so don't worry about the cold.  BUT, make sure you're on time, because the doors will close at 9:30 a.m.   Tickets are limited, and all proceeds are donated to local charities.  The actual ball will be on February 28.  Get your tickets before they run out!

Cupidly yours,

Behka
