Winter Weather Advisory Back in the Forecast

It looks like the commute from work today should be fun with a wintry mix expected, and overnight temps dropping to single digits should make Thursday morning's commute exciting.

Light snow will move north into the area this morning, likely creating slick roads for the morning commute for most of the area. A transition to a rain/snow mix is expected midday. Temperatures will be near freezing, so if they end up slightly cooler/warmer than forecast, expect a little more/less snow. It should all change back to snow for the evening commute. Overall 1-3 inches of snow is expected with slightly higher amounts possible in eastern MO. Snow will move out early Thursday morning. Very cold temperatures will move in tonight behind the snow. This creates a flash freezing and black ice concern on wet roads, so slick roads are possible again Thursday morning.
