Will We Have a White Christmas in Sedalia?
We’re about a week away from Christmas, a time when many start to pay attention to the forecast to see if a “White Christmas” is likely. The way our weather has been lately with temperatures in the 40s, 50s and 60s lately, it seems unlikely.
The National Weather Service reports that historically, West Central Missouri stands at a 10-25% chance at a White Christmas each year. The most recent forecasts indicate we could get some snow on the Wednesday night or Thursday following Christmas. However, a temperature change dropping to the 40s during the day and 20s at night could be the change we need to keep our spirits bright.
