Minimum wage is $7.25 in the U.S., but many states and cities have raised theirs in recent years. 21 states, plus some cities and counties across the U.S. will raise their minimum wage in 2018 due to new rulings or automatic cost-of-living increases. Is Missouri on the list?

 The Definition of minimim wage is  as follows;

Minimum wage (n): The lowest wage employers are allowed to pay most workers in a given country, state, county or city; or within a given company or labor union.

With a new year right around the corner, some across the U.S. will see a pay increase. In the coming year, states, cities and counties across the U.S. will raise their minimum wage due to either new rulings or automatic cost-of-living increases.

Missouri is included on the list of increases in 2018. Albeit, it's not a huge amount, the .15 cent raise is better than nothing.

According to a story on the website pennyhoarder.com, Maine will experience the largest increase at $1.00 increasing the minimum wage to $10.00 an hour. The state of New York could possibly raise thier minimum wage higher but it was a headache trying to figure out where and when it will happen in 2018.

Some of other states will see an increase effective July 1, 2018.
