Who’s Got Talent, Anyway?

Are you talented?  Do you know people who have talents? You might see some of them at the talent show at St Paul's Lutheran School on May 11.

I personally don't consider myself a talented person. I can remember all sorts of trivia about stupid stuff that I'll never need to know, but I don't consider that a talent.

I'm not a good dancer, I'm not particularly good at Math and really I'm just passable at everything else. Yet there are all sorts of people out there who are really, really talented, and you'd never think it to look at them.

Like this guy! Everybody thought he was just another guy who sold cell phones, and for all intents and purposes, until he tried, he was. So what is it about us as people that hides that light under the bushel, so to speak?

Every year here we have the Missouri State Fair idol, and people come from miles around to be in that. We have different places that do karaoke and stuff, but what if your talent is less singing and more... juggling? Or something else?

Why not stop by the St Paul's Lutheran School. They're having a meal and a talent show. The meal will be from 5 to 6 p.m. for a free will donation. Then, the talent show will start at 6:30, followed by a sundae bar. Check out the talented students, and maybe share your own talent at 701 South Massachusetts in Sedalia on May 11.
