I just got some unfortunate news regarding the Sedalia Halloween this year.  I'm sure it won't be the end of Halloween as we know it, but it will certainly be something that will disappoint parents out there in our area. The Smith-Cotton DECA Trunk-or-Treat will not be happening.

Now, as far as I know, the Trick or Treat with the Downtown Sedalia will be happening. I am not sure why the DECA event isn't happening, but it does make me sad.  I remember being very impressed with everything they did in years past.  I've been to a couple of the Trunk-or-Treats; and they had kids lined up to get into each new vehicle.  In fact, I'm pretty sure that I did a live broadcast out there, too.  I know that a lot of the parents told me that it was much preferable to them to do something like that.  After all, that way you're not having to go door to door, it's in a safe, well lit location, and it was just fun.  I'm sure that a lot of parents will miss that fun, and the chance to help DECA. But this leaves me, and I'm sure some of you, with a problem.

I personally don't have children, but there will be two 9-year-old girls who will be with me and the boyfriend on Halloween night.  So.... where do we go?  It's already going to be awkward because I told them all about Trunk-or-Treat last year, and now that it's not happening this year, that's going to be a letdown.  It has to be good to make up for that, I'd think.

So now I need to know: now what?  Where will you go?  Is there another Trunk-or-Treat held by your church, non-profit organization or what have you?  Is there another Halloween party type thing that we should hit?  Tell me about it in the comments below.

Trick or Treatily yours,
Behka
