The Minnesota Vikings have reversed course and placed Adrian Peterson on the NFL's exempt list, which bars him from all team activities until his child-abuse case is resolved, the team said early Wednesday morning.   Vikings owners Zygi Wilf and Mark Wilf said in a statement. "We are always focused on trying to make the right decision as an organization.  The NFL players' union appealed Ray Rice's indefinite suspension Tuesday night.                                                                                                                

Are we just now seeing this type of abuse due to social media and the plethora of news sources, or do you think it also happened in past years but it was taboo to report on these issues because we held professional athletes in such high esteem?
