Growing up I spent countless hours on the floor playing games. Today's kids just don't know what they're missing! I was an only child so whether it was cousins, neighborhood kids or friends from school, many a wintry or rainy day, you could find me playing some type of board games.  I grew up with such games as Monopoly, Scrabble, Life, Checkers, Chinese Checkers and a homemade game that my dad made from a piece of plywood called Wahoo. It involved marbles and dice.

Of course there were other games that involved playing cards.  Probably more hours were spent on one of the simplest card games ever-War.  I also remember playing Old Maid, Solitaire, Go Fish, Rook and in later years, Uno.

So with this trip down memory lane, what was your favorite board or card game?
