I have a house. It's not too big, two bedrooms, full attic and basement.  It's pretty old, but it's home. So I was kind of nosing around the internet the other day and got curious about local real estate.  I got into a bit of a rabbit hole - you know, that thing where you click something that makes you want to click something else and then click something else and before you know it you're ten tabs away from what you were doing before.

I've talked about the most expensive homes for sale in Sedalia, and my curiosity continued. I looked at real estate listings in other towns, and then other towns, and then others... and then I naturally looked at the most expensive places in the world.  I asked myself, okay - what's a house that I would consider extravagant?

This house is in Sedalia on Cobblestone Drive.  5 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, almost 4800 square feet.  It's pretty nice! I don't think I could ever need five bedrooms, though.  It's on the market now for under $ 600 k.  Out of my price range, definitely.  But then, a small hotel room might be out of my price range.  Anyway.  I decided to search for the same price in New York City, and what did I get? A LOT LESS.

For the same price, you can buy a studio aparment in Manhattan.  Don't even think of buying a house.  It's listed as ZERO bedrooms.  You can see there, it's got kind of a... closet with a bed in it. I understand it's a much bigger place with a higher cost of living, but bejeeeeeebus.

The listing says it's 549 square feet.  FOR ALMOST $600 THOUSAND DOLLARS.

Wow.  I've been to New York on a vacation, and I admit it's nice, but it's so pricey! I'll stick with the five bedroom house if you don't mind.

Expensively yours,
Behka
