Mothers Against Drunk Driving® (MADD) in Kansas City, MO will host its 2nd annual Walk Like MADD® fundraiser Saturday, June 11. Victims, survivors and supporters will line up for this non-competitive 5K walk to remember lost loved ones, inspire change and commit to a nation with no more victims.Walk Like MADD events are taking place in more than 80 cities across the country this year. Registration for Walk Like MADD in Kansas City is $20 for those ages 5-18, and $25 for those who are 21 and over.

The registration opens at 8:30 a.m. with the walk ceremony beginning at 9:30 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m.

Victims and survivors of impaired driving crashes, law enforcement officers, prosecutors and community members will join together. In 2015 there were 7,620 alcohol related crashes in Kansas and Missouri, resulting in 307 deaths caused by drunk driving. Nationwide, nearly 10,000 people are killed in drunk driving crashes each year.
