W-K Holiday Shootout Kicks Off This Weekend

The W-K Holiday Shootout has become a tradition in this area over the past few years.  The tournament started in 2001 by Tom Knight and Darren Pannier as an idea to get local area schools all in one location to play a basketball tournament.

Last year marked the 10th anniversary for the W-K Holiday Shootout. The tournament seems to grow every year.  This year, 30 schools are in the tournament and 28 games will be played (14 boys' and 14 girls' games). The atmosphere is exciting and you can never go wrong with a full week's worth of local hoops.

Admission is only $5 per day for adults and children 12 and under are free. All games are played at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on the State Fair Community College campus
