January is kind of a light month for country concerts around the area, but if you're willing to go on a road trip, you'll be able to see at least a few really good acts. Here's a look at upcoming country concerts this month that are within a fairly reasonable driving distance.

  • Kane Brown

Kane Brown is an up-and-comer in country music that has been described as the "Justin Bieber of country." He's amassed a huge following on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. He has even topped the iTunes Chart. He'll be in Columbia on January 7, but if you were planning on going to The Blue Note to buy tickets at the door, you'll be disappointed. The show is sold out.

  • Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett and A Thousand Horses

Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett and A Thousand Horses will be in Springfield, Missouri on Saturday, January 23. The concert will be at the JQH Arena at 7:30. For ticket information, call the JQH Arena box office at 417-836-7678.
