U. S. Senator Claire McCaskill welcomed business owners interested in contracting with the U.S. government to the annual Procurement Conference Thursday, May 28, at the University of Central Missouri.

The conference is hosted by McCaskill, the Missouri Procurement Technical Assistance Centers and the Missouri Small Business and Technology Development Center at UCM. This was the 26th year for the event, which was initiated by the late U.S. Congressman Ike Skelton.

Senior pitcher Katie Shockley helped lead Central Missouri to their first trip to the NCAA Division II College World Series since 1994. She has now capped her season being named to the Capital One Academic All-American First Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).   For Shockley, this is her second time being named a Capital One Academic All-American. She was selected to the Second Team in 2013.

The Jennies Softball team will be hosting a Futures Camp, June 15-17 at Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.  For more information or to register for camp go to JenniesSoftballCamps.com.
