Marcia Clemens, administrative assistant in Extended Studies at the University of Central Missouri, received the UCM Outstanding Support Staff Member Award at the group’s annual breakfast April 16.  Annette Charles, chair of the awards committee, presented the award to Clemens, who was nominated by her peers. She was recognized for her dedication to assisting students, staff and faculty in a variety of ways and bringing a positive attitude and wealth of knowledge to all aspects of her job.

Clemens joined the UCM staff in 1995 as an office professional in the Purchasing Office. She transferred to The Graduate School, serving as administrative assistant for 18 years until her reassignment to Extended Studies in July 2014.

Central Missouri softball continued it's outstanding MIAA play this season with a sweep of Lincoln (3-45, 2-20 MIAA) 8-4 and 9-1 (5 inn.). The wins move the Jennies closer to 40 for the season as they improve their record to 37-13 overall and 19-5 in the MIAA.

The Central Missouri Mules wrap up their regular season schedule with a four-game MIAA series at Lindenwood.  The series gets underway with a doubleheader on Friday at 1 p.m. and concludes with single games on Saturday and Sunday also at 1 p.m.
