Consistent with continuing efforts to make student and employee safety a top priority at the University of Central Missouri, the university is enhancing crosswalk safety through efforts to make designated crossings more visible to motorists who are traveling near campus.  These recent actions by university crews make it possible for drivers to know when a pedestrian crossing is approaching much faster than they have in the past.Aubrey Winn, a public relations major from Macon, and Tyler Shepard, an elementary education major from Sedalia, have been named the 2015 recipients of the University of Central Missouri’s prestigious Charno Award. The award is presented annually to the top male and female members of the senior class at UCM.

A wild back and forth game that saw 21 total runs scored, 24 total hits, nine errors and lasted just over four hours ended in an 11-10 loss in 12 innings for the Mules against Rockhurst last night at Crane Stadium/Tompkins Field. 

Central Missouri softball wrapped up their longest road swing of the season going 9-3 after a sweep of Missouri Southern (11-33, 4-16 MIAA). The wins push the conference-leading Jennies to 35-13 overall and 17-5 in the MIAA. Both 35 overall and 17 MIAA wins are the most since the 2009 season.

The Mules Golf team shot a two-over par 290 in the second round of the MIAA Championships on Tuesday and stretched their lead to 15 strokes after the second of three rounds at Alvamar Country Club. UCM is 24-over par for the tournament, 15 shots better than second place Central Oklahoma.

For the fourth straight week, Central Missouri women's Track and Field maintains the No. 1 ranking in the USTFCCCA outdoor poll. The Mules remain in the top-25, checking in at No. 20 this week.
