Celebrating sustainability and green living with a week-long celebration, the University of Central Missouri will launch its annual Earth Day 365 celebration April 18-25.  Centered around the global celebration of Earth Day on April 22, the UCM event provides a variety of events for the campus and surrounding community that offer education about sustainability and encourage sustainable living 365 days per year.

For junior Athletic Training major Takao Iwano, the perfect job would be to work for a professional sports team and be behind the scenes at every game. That dream became a reality this semester when Iwano interned for Major League Baseball as an athletic trainer during spring training.  For two weeks, Iwano practiced his skills in athletic training for the Kansas City Royals and the Seattle Mariners.

All five Central Missouri golfers finished in the top 10 individually and the Mules cruised to a 36-shot win at the Washburn Invitational at Topeka Country Club. With the win, UCM moves in to a first-place tie with Central Oklahoma in the conference's season-long points standings with only the MIAA Tournament Championship left next week.

Central Missouri Jennies track team holds tight at the No. 1 ranking in the latest USTFCCCA (United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) poll. This is now the Jennies third straight week atop the poll, matching their longest stretch during the indoor season. The Mules track team fell a spot to 19th in this week's rankings. 

Mules junior first baseman Bennett Oliver was named MIAA Hitter of the Week for his performance in the Mules' 4-2 week last week. UCM split a doubleheader at Drury last Tuesday before taking three out of four games from Washburn in Topeka over the weekend.
