The University of Central Missouri’s Office of Military and Veteran Services will host the Return With Purpose  workshop, “Jump Start Your Civilian Life – Identify Barriers for a Smooth Transition with Purpose.” The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 30 in Elliott Student Union, Room 235.

This free one-day workshop is open to military personnel who are preparing to leave the service, veterans, members of the National Guard, reservists and military spouses. It picks up where the military’s Transitional Assistance Program (TAP) leaves off for those who are preparing to, or who recently transitioned to civilian life. It will assist participants in evaluating where they are now, and how to arrive at their desired path for the future.

The Performing Arts Series and Department of Music at the University of Central Missouri will present the UCM Opera Theatre production of Mozart’s “The Magic Flute,” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 17-18, in Hendricks Hall.  The performance is part of the Performing Arts Series Premier Series, which showcases the best of UCM student and faculty talent.

The Jennies Golf team fired an opening round 341 and currently sits in seventh place heading in to today's final round at The Triton Invitational hosted by Missouri-St. Louis at Norwood Country Club.

Six runs in the first four innings propelled the Mules baseball team to a 7-3 win on Sunday afternoon to take the series win at Washburn, their third straight victory.

Central Missouri track and field had a very successful day at the Pittsburg State Gorilla Classic. The Mules and Jennies won a number of events and had numerous NCAA qualifying marks.

The Jennies earned their 30th win of the season Saturday afternoon in Edmond as they split a doubleheader with Central Oklahoma. UCM moves to 30-12 and 12-4 in the MIAA after the pair of games. It is the first time the Jennies have won 30 games since the 2009 season.
