The Central Missouri Mules baseball team jumped out to an early lead, but Missouri Western rallied to earn a 10-5 non-conference win on Tuesday afternoon. The Mules were out-hit 11-6 in the game and four UCM errors led to four unearned runs for the Griffons.

Central Missouri junior lefthanded pitcher Tyler House was named the MIAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week for his performance in the Mules' 6-1 win at Southwest Baptist on Saturday.  The Richton Park, Illinois native tossed a complete-game, scattering six hits and allowing one run as the Mules picked up the victory in game three. He struck out a season-high 11 batters in the process. This is the first player of the week award for House and for UCM this season.

The Central Missouri Mules golf team moved up two spots to No. 17 in the latest edition of the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Poll. UCM was 20th in the final poll of the fall season and 19th in the first spring poll released last month.
