The University of Central Missouri Office of Career Development Services will host the 47th Annual Teacher Placement Day from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, in the UCM Multipurpose Building.  Those attending will have the opportunity to speak with school administrators from approximately 100 school districts regarding careers in education and position vacancies for the 2015-16 school year.  All students, alumni and guests are encouraged to attend. There will be no registration fee for attendees. Coming off of their first and second place finishes at the MIAA Track and Field Championships, the No. 2 Jennies and No. 8 Mules track teams saw 13 student-athletes placed on the USTFCCCA (United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) All-Region team. Eight Mules and five Jennies highlighted the list in 22 events.

The Central Missouri Mules finished the regular season at 23-5 overall and 14-5 in MIAA play and were awarded with five All-MIAA honors as announced by the league on Monday afternoon. Senior forward Brennen Hughes was named to the first team with senior guard Rakeem Dickerson earning second team honors and senior forward Dillon Deck being named honorable mention. Senior guards Preston Brunz and TJ White were named to the All-Defensive Team.

Jennies junior guard Shelby Winkelmann was the named the MIAA Athlete of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday.  The Rhineland, Missouri native averaged a team-best 19.5 points to go along with 6.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists in a pair of wins last week, helping UCM clinch the fifth seed in this week's MIAA Tournament.

The Central Missouri Jennies basketball team has earned the No. 5 seed in the MIAA Postseason Tournament and will host 12th-seeded Lindenwood tonight at 7 p.m. at the UCM Multipurpose Building.
