The Performing Arts Series and the Department of Music at the University of Central Missouri presents The International Contemporary Ensemble tonight at 7:30 p.m. in Hart Recital Hall. The presentation is part of the PAS Guest Artist Series.

Called “one of the most accomplished and adventurous groups in new music” by the New York Times, the ICE is dedicated to reshaping the way music is created and experienced.

Senior Carly Sojka had a career-night as she landed a new high 27 kills in the Jennies 3-1 volleyball win over Missouri S&T.  UCM hits the road again for their final regular-season tournament before conference play. They head to Russellville, Ark. for the Arkansas Tech Regional Crossover. Their first match is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 18 against Harding at 1 p.m. They'll also play host school Arkansas Tech and Harding over the two day event.

The fifth-ranked Central Missouri Mules golf team opened their 2015-16 season capturing the team title at the Missouri Southern Fall Invitational by 23 strokes at the Shangri-La Country Club. The Mules shot a final round two-under par 286 to finish at even par, 864, for the tournament. Additionally, Teddy Jones shot a final round 68 and captured individual medalist honors finishing at five under par.

The Jennies Golf team was nine shots better in the second round of the Northeastern State Classic, shooting a 326 to move up four spots and finish in 10th place out of 18 teams in the 36-hole tournament. The Jennies finished with a team total of 661.  The Jennies return to the links in two weeks, Sept. 27-29, at the Lincoln Invitational at the Jefferson City Country Club.
