UCM Update

Bringing thousands of local residents and students together since 2004, the University of Central Missouri’s Get the Red Out celebration is planned for 4 - 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3. This cooperative community event, which offers opportunities for local businesses and non-profit organizations, will take place on Holden Street, between South and Clark streets, under sponsorship of the university and the Greater Warrensburg Area Chamber of Commerce. Everyone is invited to join in the activities and show their support for the UCM Mules as they battle the Missouri Western State University Griffons in the first home game of the season at 7 p.m. at Audrey J. Walton Stadium at Vernon Kennedy Field.

The Central Missouri Mules Basketball team will host the "2015 MuleBall Masters" golf fundraiser on Friday, August 28 at Hidden Pines Country Club in Warrensburg.  Cost of the tournament is $125 per person or $375 per team. Net proceeds from the event will benefit the Mules Basketball program. Hole sponsorships are available as well for $150 or $450 for a hole sponsorship and team entry fee.

There is still time to register for the 15th Annual Celebrating Central Missouri Athletics Auction & Dinner, set for next Friday, August 14 from 5:30-10 p.m. at the UCM Multipurpose Building. The auction raises funds in support of Central Missouri's 17 intercollegiate athletic programs.  To register for the auction/dinner visit UCMathletics.com/auction.
