Phil Hoffman, director of broadcasting services at the University of Central Missouri and general manager of KMOS-TV, UCM’s public broadcasting station, recently received the 2015 Board of Governors Award from The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Lower Great Lakes Chapter.  The award recognizes Hoffman's contributions to the chapter during his decade-long tenure as chair of the education committee.  The award was presented at the NATAS Awards show in Indianapolis at Banker's Life Fieldhouse, home of the Indiana Pacers basketball team.

For the third straight year and the ninth time in the last 11 seasons the Mules Basketball team ranked in the top 10 nationally in attendance. The Mules were fourth in NCAA Division II basketball attendance in 2014-15 after ranking sixth last year and fourth two seasons ago.  The Mules were second in the MIAA in attendance, averaging 2,656 fans per game over 16 home contests. The Mules totaled 42,347 total fans over the course of the 2014-15 season.

University of Central Missouri Athletics will kick off the 2015-16 school year with the 15th annual Celebrating Central Missouri Athletics auction and dinner presented by Husch Blackwell on Friday evening, August 14. The auction raises funds in support of Central Missouri's 17 intercollegiate athletic programs.
