Early Tuesday morning, Johnson County Sheriff's deputies arrested two people after a motorcycle pursuit through Warrensburg.

A press release from the Johnson County Sheriff's Office indicates deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a Harley Davidson with no registration near Gay and Maguire Streets in Warrensburg.

The driver of the motorcycle, 41-year old Justin C. Clinton, of Warrensburg, reportedly failed to yield and led deputies on a pursuit. During the pursuit the motorcycle was traveling on Hwy 50 near the intersection of Highway 58. A short time later, the motorcycle came to a stop in the 200 block of NW 50 Hwy, where deputies arrested Clinton and a passenger, 26-year old Julinda I. Hicks, of rural Knob Noster.

Clinton was arrested for DWI - Persistent Offender, Failed to Yield to an emergency vehicle and numerous traffic violations.

Hicks reportedly attempted to assault a deputy and was arrested for Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer.
