The State Fair Community College Roadrunner Basketball teams will be traveling in two different directions this weekend.

The Men's Basketball team will play in the John A. Logan Shootout in Carterville, Ill. The Men's team brings their 9-4 record into the matchup versus Southeastern Illinois on Saturday (Dec. 14) at 5 p.m. Southeastern Illinois leads the all-time series between the schools 8-5. SFCC swept a pair of meetings during the 2013-2014 season winning at home 102-66 and then at Harrisburg Illinois 64-51.

The Roadrunners will also play on Sunday (Dec. 15) versus John A. Logan at 1 p.m. John A. Logan College leads the all-time series between the schools 2-1. The teams haven’t met since the 1991-1992 season when the Volunteers won a pair of games 84-81 and 69-67. SFCC won during the 1990-1991 season in the first matchup between the two teams.

Both SFCC Roadrunner games will air on Newstalk 1050 KSIS with Kaleb Filis bringing you the play-by-play.

The Lady Roadrunners are 5-6 on the season and will head to Little Rock, Ark. to take on Arkansas Baptist College. SFCC leads the all-time series between the schools 2-1. The Lady Roadrunners swept a pair of games during the 2012-2013 season. SFCC won in Little Rock 58-57. The Lady Roadrunners won at home by a score of 68-41. The two teams will tipoff at 2 p.m.

Due to the Men's team playing at 1:00 on Newstalk 1050 KSIS and the Kansas City Chiefs pregame starting at 2:00 on 92.3 BOB-FM, we will have a rare basketball game on Better Country, KIX 105. Doug will bring the play-by-play on 105.7 FM and streaming online.
