Singer-songwriter Toby Keith will soon be a Hall of Famer. The country music icon is set to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame on June 18 at the Marriott Marquis in New York. Keith will be honored alongside a myriad of other songwriters, including blues legend Willie Dixon and Country Music Hall of Famer Bobby Braddock.

"Our 2015 lineup of inductees represents the rich diversity of American musical styles – rock, country, blues and pop – that have captivated the world over the past six decades," Songwriters Hall of Fame president Linda Moran says in a statement. "Each one of these brilliant music creators have written instantly recognizable classics, songs that are both of their time and timeless. Our Annual Awards Gala is sure to be unforgettable."

The Songwriters Hall of Fame honors prolific songwriters across a variety of genres.

During a remarkable career that has spanned nearly two decades, Keith has written runaway hits like "Beer for My Horses," "Should've Been a Cowboy" and "As Good as I Once Was." Keith first rose to prominence when he signed to DreamWorks Records in 1998. That same year, he released his smash hit "How Do You Like Me Now?!" The song, which was released on his 1999 album of the same name, was the biggest country song of 2000.

In addition to being a successful country singer, Keith is a savvy businessman and an ardent supporter of the United States Armed Forces. He has made several trips to the Middle East to provide free concerts and encouragement for the men and women stationed there. His 2003 hit "American Soldier" was an homage to the brave men and women who protect our freedom.

Keith recently announced a long list of summer tour dates, found here, and will be making pitstops at both the 2015 Taste of Country Music Festival and Country Jam this June.
