Time Winding Down to Visit Waterparks

To celebrate making it through the Missouri State Fair, last weekend a bunch of us from the radio station decided to go to a water park, and it was a great time.

As I'm sure you all know by now, I just moved to the area, so it was my first time. We decided to head to Schlitterbahn in Kansas City, a little over an hour away from Sedalia. I piled in the back of the Huntin' and Fishin' with Harry-Mobile, hung on for my life and got to the park right as it opened.

The place was a blast. Seven different slides and some really cool rapids rivers. Plus you can bring your own food! We were there for like six hours, and had an amazing time. I even went on the new zipline ride, which was really cool, although a little expensive for what it was.

Where I used to live in Michigan, we didn't have any water parks near by, so I really appreciate that we have some here in Schlitterbahn and Big Surf. We're really lucky that we have so many big attractions nearby.

Time is running out, the waterparks close for the season after Labor Day, so get out there while you can! I had a ton of fun, and I'm sure you will too.
