When superstar Taylor Swift penned 'Tim McGraw' years ago, she probably had no idea that in the future, the icon would passionately discuss his deep admiration for her, even diving into how she changed country music in a very special way.

“She’s great. You know, I’ve been a fan of Taylor so long… She actually toured with Faith and I for our Soul to Soul Tour a few years ago,” Tim McGraw says, complimenting the 23-year-old country-pop icon in a recent interview.

The 'Truck Yeah' hitmaker continues, “You know she’s one of those rare artists that come along that there’s only been a handful of throughout the history of music, who creates such a weight behind her, pulls so many people into what her music is about that they discover so many different artists because of what she does. She’s just a really special, special artist.”

While McGraw credits Swift with changing the history of music, Swift has shared before how Faith Hill is one of her favorite people in Nashville because of her ability to share country music with so many different audiences. So truth be told, it seems that Swift has followed in the footsteps of McGraw's talented wife.

Country music today is reaching more fans than ever before, and when people think 'Tim McGraw', they probably think of Swift, too.
