Tim McGraw will be taking the stage as part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame's celebration of its Class of 2016. The country star is set to headline the second annual Concert for Legends, which kicks off the enshrinement festivities.

The 2016 Concert for Legends is scheduled for Aug. 5 at 8PM at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio. McGraw will be the first person to play the venue since its renovation as part of the Hall of Fame Village project. Aerosmith headlined last year's event.

“The Pro Football Hall of Fame is honored to have Tim McGraw perform at the Concert for Legends," says Hall of Fame President David Baker. "In addition to being a legendary music icon, Tim is also a huge football fan. It will be a special night with Tim’s music and honoring all the great heroes of the game and our Hall of Fame Class of 2016."

Indeed, McGraw is quite a fan of the sport: He co-produced and narrated Farve Returns, a documentary about Brett Favre, and some of the movies in which he's starred, including Friday Night Lights and The Blind Side, heavily involve football.

“I love football. It teaches us so much about life, commitment, courage and integrity,” McGraw says. “I’ll be joining my buddy Brett Favre along with more than 100 Hall of Fame Gold Jackets and thousands of fans for a celebration of this great game. I can’t wait for it, and I’ll see you in Canton.”

Tickets for the 2016 Concert for Legends range in price from $40 to $230. More information is available at ProFootballHOF.com.
