The Wreckers Reunite With ‘Leave the Pieces’ Nashville [Watch]
It was a throwback moment at Sunday night’s (Aug. 13) Michelle Branch show, where she reunited with the Wreckers bandmate Jessica Harp for a few songs, including their No. 1 smash “Leave the Pieces.”
Branch is on her headlining Hopeless Romantic Tour, which rolled into Nashville, Tenn., Sunday night, and as promised, she invited her friend Harp to the mic mid-set. It was the first time they’d been onstage together in a decade, and the reunion was met with a loud scream from the gathered Music City crowd.
Making the moment even more intimate, the former duo shared a mic for “Leave the Pieces,” while Branch’s backing band provided acoustic guitar and fiddle accompaniment.

Later, the band would leave the stage as the duo remained to perform a song titled “Tennessee.” Released in 2007, the singers had a false start to which Harp noted, “Hey, it’s been 10 years, all right?”
The Wreckers formed in 2005. Both solo artists at the time, Branch recruited her longtime friend and backing singer Harp. They released their debut album Stand Still, Look Pretty in 2006, and shortly after garnered their first No. 1 country hit with “Leave the Pieces.” The song was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group and they were also nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year at the CMA Awards that year. They split in 2008 to focus on their solo careers.
Branch’s Hopeless Romantic Tour is in promotion of a new album, also titled Hopeless Romantic.
