Are you one of the many Missourians that are still waiting for a tax refund check from the Department of Revenue?

A lot of Missouri taxpayers are also upset because the late refund they are receiving has no interest tacked on for the long delay. Missouri law requires that any personal income tax refund issued more than 45 days later than when the return was filed to be paid with interest.

State Auditor Nicole Galloway's office has received over 1000 complaints. Due to this the Department of Revenue is being audited by her office to find the reason for the delay.

If you're one of the many that is still waiting for your refund, you can contact the Department of Revenue but be aware. Reports are that you will be on hold for awhile. The number to call is (573) 751-3505.
