The Smith-Cotton Tigers Football Team Wins Their First Game of the Year!
It was the home opener, Friday night, for the Smith Cotton Tigers at Tiger Stadium.
There was a big crowd and it was a big win for the Tigers as they defeated Marshall High School 38-0! In the ballgame, the Tigers really racked up some yards on the ground. The Tigers had 46 carries with 326 yards. The leading ball carrier for the Tiger’s was Brice Pannier with 17 carries for 132 yards. Pannier also scored a touchdown. Gauge Young had a couple of touchdowns, and Sophomore Brandon Neale had a touchdown as well.
Blake Grupe is now the all-time kicking leader for the Tigers now, with a perfect 5/5! And a 34-yard field goal!
The Tiger’s record is even now at 1-1. They now get ready to defend their Silver Tiger Trophy as they host Warrensburg, on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.!
