It does my heart good to see how well the LoCash Cowboys are doing right now.  We have a long history together, going back almost to their very beginning.

I remember a few years back, we got the Bud Stage lineup for the fair, and it said the LoCash Cowboys were going to be here for two days.  We all said, “Who the heck are the LoCash Cowboys?”  Little did I know that the two day period would be the beginning of a long, long friendship.

Their first show was amazing! They had that small crowd rockin’, and by the time the second show started, the word had spread throughout the fairgrounds about their performance, and the second show was packed.  The next day, they showed up here at the radio station bright and early and brought us all “LoCash Breakfast,” biscuits and gravy!  Now these boys were just getting started and didn’t have much, but they new how to promote: bring the morning guys food!

They spent the morning on the air with us, the first of many times they have spent with me on-air.  We have stayed up all night, come in and done the show. We have even done my show from Winfield, Kansas.  I was on their bus when they wrecked it at the lake, and I’ve danced with them on stage in Kansas City (don’t ask).  All these years later, we are still friends.

All though it’s been awhile since I’ve seen them, I still get a text every now and then just to say hey.  They are red hot right now, writing hit records for Keith Urban and Tim McGraw.  Their new video is being released this week, “C.O.U.N.T.R.Y.”

I was the first radio personality to play a LoCash song on the radio, and I still have my “Blue Herron” jersey.  This is indeed LoCash Country, and we are glad they are coming back to town.

You can win tickets by following this link.  Bud Light and Cadillac Ranch are teaming up to bring the boys back to town and I, for one, am excited about it.
