Summer 2016 is going to be a great one for area country music fans. Kenny Chesney's coming to Arrowhead Stadium, we'll get a chance to see some huge superstars like Carrie Underwood and the Zac Brown Band, and the Country Mega Ticket lineup is, as always, awesome. Here's a look at some of the best summer concerts coming to the Kansas City area.

  • Carrie Underwood

Maybe this isn't quite summer, since it takes place before Memorial Day, but it's close enough, and Carrie Underwood's incredible, so we're counting it. The Sprint Center is bringing Carrie Underwood to Kansas City on May 15. Carrie will be performing in the round, so fans on all sides of the arena will get to see her. Tickets are $46-$76. Easton Corbin and The Swon Brothers will open.

  • Luke Bryan - Country Mega Ticket

The Providence Medical Center Amphitheater is the site of the Country Mega Ticket, which is bringing a ton of stars to the area, including country superstar Luke Bryan on August 25. • Kenny Chesney

As you can see, there are a lot of big shows coming to Kansas City, but this one's probably the biggest. Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt and Old Dominion are all taking over Arrowhead Stadium on July 16. The last time Kenny came to Arrowhead, he performed with Jason Aldean and they set an attendance record at the stadium.
