Thanks to everybody, from the landowners who allow us to hunt on their land to everyone who attended out Whitetails Unlimited Banquet and those who sponsor our events.  Our youth weekend was a great success, with five out of the six kids getting their first turkeys and three out of the four Wounded Warriors getting their birds last weekend.

I've started my blog posts with the weather every day for the last two months.  I thought the crazy weather changes were over and done with.  I can deal with a 15-20 degree temperature change, this IS Missouri.  But come on, from the 70s to the 30s?  This is just ridiculous.

Wow, what a weekend!  The 2013 Cabin Fever Sports Show last weekend was awesome.  Thanks a lot to all of the vendors who participated, and a special thanks to you, the attendees.  We had double the attendance as the previous year, and we collected 272 pounds of food for the food pantry.  What a great way to have some fun and do some good at the same time.

Deer season is over, and what a final weekend it was!  It was MO Kids Outdoors' first Wounded Warrior hunt, the first one ever held in Pettis County.  The whole weekend was overwhelming.

Youth season was a success, with four out of the six kids we took out harvesting their first deer.  We still have the second youth season to go, so I'm sure we'll get them back in the woods. Last week we told you about Wounded Warrior Eric Stadler.  We'll be taking him out hunting this morning just before seven more Wounded Warriors arrive in Sedalia for the first Wounded Warrior hunt in Pettis Co

I love this time of year, it's great for everything.  Even though youth soccer is about over, I bet those kids still wish it was going on.  My best friend's son plays, and what an awesome time it is with all of the parents, grandparents and kids outside at Clover Dell Park.  It's also great to see the support for the high school football teams on those chilly nights.  I just love being outside! Chris Young Reunites With Wounded Warrior Pal During Visit to Air Force Base
Chris Young had the chance to catch up with an old friend during a visit to Minot Air Force Base last week. The singer stopped by the base for a CD signing with some of our country’s finest airmen as part of his work with Stars for Stripes and the Minot Exchange. While there, he was reunited with Wounded Warrior Scott Lilley, whom he first met in 2009 while working with Stars for Stripes. Read Mor
