For the second consecutive year, the Smith-Cotton Tigers claimed the West Central Conference All-Sports title, amassing more team points than any other school in the seven-member conference in the 2016-17 school year.

The first football season in the new Jennie Jaynes Athletic Complex was one for the history books. The Smith-Cotton Tigers were an undefeated 9-0 in the regular season and won the West Central Conference title.
