Many country stars are not only great singers, but are also terrific songwriters. It's not uncommon for country superstars to have had successful songwriting careers before they became famous. Some of them even continue to write hit songs for other artists even after they've achieved stardom. See if you can match the following country music hits with their famous country songwriters.

Wynn Varble is coming to Dukes & Boots on Jan. 30 with Thom Shepherd and Coley McCabe.  Wynn has written hits that include "Have you Forgotten," "Cheater, Cheater" and "Things That Never Cross a Man's Mind."  He took time out to call my show and give us a sample of what you will hear at the concert.

Thom Shepherd called recently to talk about the Jan. 30 concert at Dukes & Boots.  Thom talks about some of the hits he's written and gives us some of the insight into a couple of them.  This is just a small taste of what Thom, along with Wynn Varble and Coley McCabe will be doing during the show.

Longtime duet partners Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn are on the same ballot for induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Both are nominated in the Songwriter/Artists category, but only one can be inducted. There’s no guarantee either will be picked, however.
