A weekend shooting incident in Tipton has left a 19-year-old man dead.

Two people have been arrested and another is being sought after a series of gunshots early Sunday morning in Sedalia.

An Associated Press report says at least 11 people have been killed amidst violence that rocked Paris on Friday.

Jillian Johnson, one of the two people killed by a gunman at a Lafayette, La. movie theater on Thursday night, was a businesswoman, artist and member of a well-respected local country music group called the Figs. Friends and fans from Nashville to Louisiana have taken to her Facebook wall to offer their favorite memories in the hours since the shooting.

For Hunter Hayes, the movie theater shootings in Lafayette are personal. The "21" singer calls the area his home community as he grew up less than 10 miles away. Along with over a dozen other stars, Hayes reacted on Twitter.

Three students have been wounded, one critically, after a gunman opened fire at Florida State University.  Classes at FSU are cancelled today.

UPDATE: According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the gunman spotted near Warrensburg High School on Friday morning was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound a few miles from the school after being pulled over by police.
