Maybe I grew up in a bubble, but I always kind of thought of Sedalia and all of Mid Missouri as a crimeless area. I know that's silly, but when I was a kid, and even in my teen years, I didn't hear much about crime in our area.

At approximately 2:20 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, officers with the Columbia Police Department attempted to stop a black sedan on North Oakland Gravel Road east of Alfalfa Drive in Columbia, MO.

The Missouri State Fair is coming up quickly - it seems like it's going to be just hours away.  And yeah, I'm sure you're going to check it out for the music, the competitions, the exhibits, the food, and all that.  But make sure you check out all the people working there - you'll be surprised!

Sedalia Police were quite busy in the past 24 hours, with the following reports made public: LaQuesha Monique Jamerson, 31, 1812 Barrett Ave, was arrested on a domestic assault charge, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon by Sedalia Police April 6...

Sedalia Police arrested the suspect linked to the robbery of Central Bank, at 301 West Broadway, on Friday (November 20).

This morning, around 8:30, Erika M. Vivone wa arrested at 2010 Tiger Pride Blvd. for an outstanding warrant from the Sedalia Police Department. Bond was set at $88.50. Vivone was transported to the Pettis County Jail. Earlier today, deputies were dispatched to th area of the 21000 block of Ionia Road in reference to a domestic disturbance...

While we're celebrating our country's birth this Fourth of July, remember this is one of the things that makes America so great.

The always controversial subject of excessive police force bubbled to the surface again this weekend when a police officer in McKinney, Tex., was caught on camera pointing his gun at teens during a pool party.

This isn't exactly the best way to take a bite out of crime.

"It's not how you start, it's how you finish" would definitely be the mantra this officer would pass on to people.
