The name Chase Daniel rings very familiar in this area. After all, he did lead the Missouri Tigers to two of the best years in school history, was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the year, holds the record for the most offensive yards in a career at Mizzou, and finished third in the Heisman race. As a diehard Kansas City Chiefs fan, I have to say that I’m pretty stoked right now about the Chiefs' decision to trade for Alex Smith! I’ve gone through some rough seasons as a Chiefs fan, we all have, but I have high hopes for next year. The position we needed the most help with was at quarterback. Matt Cassel had one decent year with us, but his time is over. He turned the ball over way too much last year and was just awful. Brady Quinn isn’t the answer either. Ricky Stanzi never even got on the field despite how horrible we were last season, so I think that shows no one had confidence in him being the future of our team.
What do you think about the Kansas City Chiefs' decision to trade for Alex Smith?
We have done a few polls about the Kansas City Chiefs, and it seems that every time we post one, the Chiefs fill the spot we question. This year I was tortured every Sunday having to sit through the Chiefs radio broadcast on 92.3 BOB FM. I can say I'm thrilled with the hiring of Andy Reid, he is a proven coach in the NFL, 37 wins above .500, only 3 losing seasons in the past 14 years, 7 division titles and 1 conference championship.
Chiefs fans, let your voice be heard! What should the Chiefs do with the quarterback position?!
