Hulu Renews ‘Castle Rock’ for Another Season of Stephen King Scares
It’s not exactly surprising news, but that doesn’t make it any less awesome: Hulu has officially renewed Castle Rock for a second season. The series, from executive producer J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot, will continue to expand this particular little corner of Stephen King’s universe in Season 2, with new characters and a new story set in and around the fictional, eponymous Maine town.

In just a couple of weeks, Hulu is taking Stephen King fans back to Castle Rock — the fictional Maine town where many of the author’s horror classics are set — for a new series from producer J.J. Abrams is returning to direct (and co-write) the trilogy finale comes word that the release date has been pushed back seven months from May 24, 2019 to December 20. Meanwhile, despite a change in directors and Ron Howard’s ongoing reshoots, the Han Solo spinoff weirdly remains the one Star Wars property that won’t be released in December.

Harrison Ford might be a superhero. This, according to Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams, who was on set for Ford’s unfortunate accident last year, when a hydraulic door broke his leg. (As Abrams’ describes it in the clip above, his ankle was at a, gulp, 90-degree angle to the rest of his body. Ew.) Thankfully, Ford was okay. Then he later got into a plane crash and was mostly okay after that too. Because, again, Harrison Ford is a superhero.
