The holiday season is behind us, and many of you may be dreading the idea of having to clean up. That means it is time to put Christmas decorations away, which is probably the part people least like to do. Clean up eventually needs to be done, for me clean up is pretty easy, take all the decorations down off the tree and then place the decorations and tree into a box and bring it in the attic. However, what do you do if you have a real Christmas Tree that is still standing?

The end of the year brings the mad dash for my fellow employees to try and take some time off for the holidays, so I am off for three days this week. Nothing like taking time off to do last minute shopping for the holidays! However, I also volunteered to help out the Skyline Elementary 3rd Grade for a day putting together gingerbread houses.

Christmas is getting closer and closer, and the good boys and girls are writing up their final Christmas letters and wish lists to Santa Claus. I am pleased to tell you that a lot of the letters that were sent early have made it to the North Pole, and Santa knows more are on its way. I'm also pleased to let you know that each year Newstalk 1050 KSIS, has had a chance to get updates from Steve The Elf on some of the letters have made it to Santa.

Kids, this past weekend I was in Columbia, Mo. I know a lot of you are familiar with the general vicinity and have probably been there several times over your tenure. I have been there I don't know how many times, but for some reason I had never heard of a country wide phenomena called The Magic Tree. Apparently since I'm a big humbug who will refuse to put up a tree in my own home, I thought it would be nice to at least spread a little decorative cheer that someone else put up.

Community Santa Prepares for Final Week of Registering Families In Need

The Community Santa program in Sedalia has reached its last week of registering families that are in need of Christmas assistance. This program benefits not only families in need, but the elderly and handicapped as well. It works with the other social services agencies in Pettis County and all donations are used to help as many as possible.
