Daum Museum

The Daum Museum of Contemporary Art will host 'Summer Nights' from May - August, at the State Fair Community College campus.

Volunteers and area businesses are invited to a workshop in Sedalia, sponsored by the Missouri Association for Museums and Archives.

A photography exhibition featuring 40 black-and-white photographs by Roger Ballen will open on January 28 at the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art at State Fair Community College.

According to a release from State Fair Community College, an exhibition of artwork by two fiber artists who re-purpose found fabric in their compositions will open at 11 a.m. October 1st at the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art on the State Fair Community College Sedalia campus. The exhibit will remain on view through December 20th.

The Daum Museum of Contemporary Art on the State Fair Community College Sedalia campus will sponsor the 12th annual “Daum Escape” arts education program for area elementary and secondary students October 17th through December 16th at the museum.

The Daum Museum of Contemporary Art on the State Fair Community College Sedalia campus will dedicate the Menefee Library in a naming ceremony at 2 p.m. on August 31st in the museum lobby.

Many families went out in the rain to State Fair Community College to enjoy some fun indoors for the annual "Bring Mom to the Daum" event today (May 10). There are so many things for art lovers to see in Sedalia this summer. The Liberty Center Association of the Arts will be having a great set of work on display for all to see.

The Daum Museum is one of the hidden gems of Sedalia.  I think it's something we're all familiar with and we've probably been  a few times. But the Daum is always changing, growing and expanding to cover different areas of art and technology and innovation.

The Daum Museum has been on the State Fair Community College Campus for several years now, and they do plenty of permanent exhibitions, but every now and then they offer a themed special exhibit.  Thomas Piche is the Director of the Daum, and there were two free exhibits that he came in to talk about today.
