Hardcore country star Eric Church has landed in some mighty prestigious company now that none other than the New York Times has lauded his concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom last March 14 as one of the year's best.

Being on the road all the time certainly can take a toll on one's voice -- especially for country stars who really like to belt it out at every tour stop. After losing her voice on her 2012 Blown Away Tour recently, the ever-generous Carrie Underwood plans to donate the proceeds of her Des Moines concert to charity.

We were excited to bring the LoCash Cowboys to Sedalia for a special acoustic concert.   Chris and Preston put on a fantastic show.  They entertained us with songs we've heard them sing on the radio as well as hits they've written that were recorded by others.  They also told the story behind the music and some stories of past experiences in Sedalia.

Kids, for those of you who are getting a little tired of hearing the same music everywhere you go, there may not be much room for other music at the holidays.

With the Locash Cowboys coming to Sedalia on Dec. 15, Chris took some time out to talk with me about the show.  As we spoke, he covered some of what the band has done in the past year and revealed what 2013 has in store for them.

The Liquid Neon Tour will be on hiatus until Chris Young gets his voice back. The singer has been put on vocal rest, forcing him to reschedule upcoming shows in Huntsville, Ala., Savannah, Ga. and Chattanooga, Tenn.

Brantley Gilbert's "Hell on Wheels" tour is rolling through Independence, Mo. on Thursday, Jan. 31 with special guest Kip Moore.  Tickets officially go on sale this Friday (Nov. 30), but we're going to give you a special chance to get your tickets before everybody else!

It seems like only yesterday that the LoCash Cowboys came rolling into town for the first time.  They didn't have much back then, an old van and a dream.  I remember seeing the lineup for the Bud Tent for the Missouri State Fair and thinking, "What the heck is a LoCash Cowboy?"
