George Strait, the King of Country, reigned supreme at the 2013 CMA Awards, nabbing the coveted Entertainer of the Year trophy. The legend, who is retiring from active touring next year, was truly surprised by the win, but we weren't. It's doubtful that any of the country superstars at the ceremony were shocked by his win, either.

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood provided at least three "Oh no they didn't!" moments during their opening monologue at the 2013 CMA Awards on Wednesday (Nov. 6). Zac Brown, Luke Bryan, Taylor Swift, Julianne Hough, Obamacare, Keith Urban, 'Duck Dynasty' and the 'evil' Kenny Rogers were all targets. Almost everyone took the jabs with a smile.

The 2013 CMA Awards winners earn respect and recognition from their fans and country music peers, plus a really cool, really heavy glass trophy to put on their mantel, tour bus or coffee table. Tim McGraw won two CMAs before the 2013 broadcast even started on Nov. 6. His wins for Music Video and Musical Event of the Year were not surprising. 'Highway Don't Care' was also up for Single of the Year.
