SEDALIA, Mo. - With the Boys and Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri's 24th annual “An Evening of Heart & Hope” less than a month away, one of the most popular parts of the night is already underway. The three nominees for the 2014 Pink Flamingo Award are all unique and support the Sedalia and Pettis County communities in a variety of ways.
During the holiday season, you can't help but to think about the brave men and women who are serving overseas during that time. The Torch Club at the Sedalia Middle School, a leadership group organized by the Boys and Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri, certainly did not forget our soldiers.
The Boys and Girls Clubs are really doing a lot of good this holiday season for all the kids who come into their organization. They're gearing up for their Evening of Heart and Hope, but that's not all that's going on.
The local chapter of the West Central Missouri Boys and Girls Club is getting a lot done with our local kids every day. They're helping out right here in our area to help our kids become better people and grow up into adults our future needs.

The Boys and Girls Club of West Central Missouri is a busy place. Here locally they serve almost 2000 kids. Not only do they help here in Sedalia, but they also reach to our surrounding communities and counties.
